ABC – its easy as 123

Plinky prompt: Create a short story, piece of memoir, or epic poem that is 26 sentences long, in which the first sentence begins with “A” and each sentence thereafter begins with the next letter of the alphabet.

In a long tradition (at least 2 posts now) here I will take a Plinky prompt and proceed not to really follow it at all. The result on this occasion is this soothing bedtime ABC.

A is for Application. I’ve written quite a lot.

They’re filling up my hard drive, evidence of the jobs I haven’t got.

B is for BORED,  the way I feel at work.

I’ve been there way too long and it’s driving me beserk.

C is for catastrophe! D is for disaster!

E is for the end of this post, and F is for get there faster

G is for

Gewürztraminer

Apparently the grapes are red.

H is for halarious. Something I once said….

I is for imagination. It seems mine’s pretty lame.

J is for jury. Because jelly and jump were too First Grade.

K is for kill, which we do to theatre seats we can’t sell.

L is for lemon-scented handwash, simply for the smell.

M is for marzipan. Which nobody (human) can stand.

N is for nobody, who can apparently stand marzipan.

O is for orangutan, furry and orange.

P is for potassium, and also for porridge.

Q is for Quantum theory. Its all about the atom

R is for Run Lola Run. She has a lot of momentum*

Occasionally Lola stops running

Occasionally Lola stops running

S is for Stop. Which this post will eventually do.

T is for terrible. That relates to this post, too.

U is for underpants. A rude word when I was in kinder.

V is for a shape you can make with two fingers.

W is for why. My answer is Because.

X is for extraordinary, deserving of applause.

Y is for a tremendous yawn, induced by reading this post.

Z is for…….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

*Apologies for that terrible rhyme.
